Change is for the better at Nexia the global ‘Rising Star Network’

Back to front page

The Nexia Australia network is undergoing considerable change and with it comes an expectation of adaptability by partners, staff, clients and associates alike to embrace this transformation as we move into the future.

Recently, several of the Nexia state offices have relocated and while for many it might mean a new way of getting to work, there is also a realisation that their new premises demand alternate ways of working.

In this regard, the question we have asked ourselves is “is there a better way to do business?” In fact, this question should be asked by all business owners each year and therefore I challenge you to ask the same question. Can I improve the way I operate? Can I operate more efficiently? Is my competitor providing additional services that we should provide? These are all valid questions and answering them positively should ensure you stay ahead of the market.

We at Nexia are always searching for the next solution for you. Some Nexia offices have upgraded with state-of-the-art technology that is being utilised within the network to benefit staff and clients and this has changed the firm’s methods of operation to efficiently improve service delivery.

Technology such as smart boards, video conferencing and projection capabilities in meeting rooms are already being enjoyed by our teams.

The new way of working has provided greater interaction within the firms and also with clients who are appreciating this form of communication and accessibility.

It is with this in mind that I am proud to announce that Nexia International has won an award based on individual excellence, innovative practices and commercial performance.

Nexia has won the ‘Rising Star Network’ of the year award at the International Accounting Bulletin (IAB) Awards 2013. The event recognises global networks that have risen above their peers in the past year.

Nexia’s performance in 2012 reinforced our position among the top 10 leading accounting networks. In addition to this, some of the internal initiatives introduced to benefit member firms around the world has been pivotal in the network’s success and recognised through the achievement of this award.

“With a determined re-entry into the top 10 networks listed by the IAB, the judging panel saw Nexia as a perfect fit for International Accounting Bulletin’s Rising Star Network of the year award,” said Ana Gyorkos, IAB data and analysis editor.

“The judges also praised Nexia’s ability to service its members through innovative initiatives, designed to help firms comply with global standards, retain staff and encourage new business opportunities.”

Further information about the awards can be found on the Nexia website at:

This award does not simply crystallise without hard work and vision and reflects the three strengths of the partners and staff of Nexia Australia being agile, accessible and continually advancing.
